Welcome friends! I'm Alisa.

There is nothing I love more than a beautifully constructed, thoughtful, soulful image. It breathes life into me. It completes me somehow. Creating these images for you is my dream and wish for you. To take every piece: lighting, location, clothing, and connection, to create the most incredible images that will stand the test of time and be handed down to all your generations. 

I've been photographing families professionally for 12 years now, and it is truly a privilege to capture so many treasured memories for families. Only after sharing an hour with you, creating moments that are sweet and tender with your child or spouse, there is something vulnerable and trusting in that. I am so grateful for each opportunity I get to create these moments with you. Thank you for trusting me with such an awesome responsibility. 

I myself am a mother to 4 boys and they are the most precious things in the world to me. As a single mother, I take great responsibility in documenting our moments together. I cherish each memory captured as if it was our last. I do not take for granted the blessing that family is and I hope that the images I take for you portray the same. Pause to appreciate every moment. Take a mental picture if you don't have a camera. And create a life that encourages the most tender moments of love between you and your family.

I am now serving Nashville and the Middle Tennessee area. I cannot wait to create some memories with you all!

INDOORS

Shooting indoors creates moodier images due to the fact that I don't use any artificial light, just the available light from windows. I love a space with many windows that flood in that natural light to create images that have that cozy feeling of home. Please contact me if you would like a session in your home.

OUTDOORS

Natural light is the most perfect and beautiful light. I do not use camera flashes, just the light from the sun. Overcast light is my favorite to work with, but also love the warmth of a summer sun in the evening. Nashville area has the most beautiful cloudy days and the most dreamy sunsets for family photos.

LOCATION

The space around you in photos is instrumental in the mood and feeling of any image. Your clothing choices should compliment your surroundings. Although your location is extremely important, it comes second to incredible lighting. Nashville area can portray a beautiful city scape, a rustic small town vibe, or a pastured country feel. What represents your family best?
I live in Lyles, TN and photograph in Nashville, Franklin, Fairview, Dickson, Centerville, and Columbia areas of Middle Tennessee. I post my current and future travel destinations as planned and booked so that you can reach out when you know where and when you want your family photos taken. I would love to meet you in the Nashville Tennessee area or somewhere around the world to capture your family in a fun, romantic, or magical destination. I am also willing to travel to your destination if you don't see it on the list.
